Pais Vasco, Spain-based Multiverse Computing, the first quantum computing startup dedicated to finance, announced that it has raised €10M in its Seed round of funding.
The current round was led by JME Ventures. The investment also saw participation from Quantonation, EASO Ventures, Inveready, CLAVE Capital (Mondragón Fondo de Promoción), Ikerlan, LKS, Penja Strategy, Seed Gipuzkoa, and Ezten Venture Capital Fund.
Capital utilisation
The funds will help the company in its growth and globalisation strategy and to continue advancing its technology and marketing, according to Enrique Lizaso, Ph.D., co-founder, and CEO of Multiverse Computing.
Lizaso says, “We are keenly focused on leveraging the most advanced quantum devices available now to deliver near-term value for the financial sector. We believe Multiverse Computing will be a global leader in the quantum computing industry and expect to have an annual revenue close to €100M by 2027 with a staff of 100 people.”
