Environmental Performance Information

As part of its Integrated Management System, Multiverse Computing monitors and reviews relevant environmental performance information to support effective environmental management, compliance with applicable obligations, and continual improvement.

Scope of Environmental Performance Monitoring

The environmental performance information monitored is aligned with the activities, services, locations, and processes included within the scope of the Integrated Management System.

Software lifecycle processes, including design, development, and deployment/implementation, in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing.

Environmental aspects are considered in relation to the activities, resources and operational conditions that support these software lifecycle processes. This includes, where relevant, direct office operations, digital infrastructure, cloud services, data centre and HPC infrastructure, suppliers, and business travel.

Environmental performance monitoring focuses on the environmental aspects that Multiverse Computing can control or influence within the context of its software development, deployment and implementation activities.

Environmental Performance Areas Monitored

Energy consumption
Office electricity consumption, based on available building, supplier and operational data.

Greenhouse gas emissions
Internal greenhouse gas emissions calculations, including office electricity, cloud infrastructure and business travel where reliable data is available.

Cloud, data centre and HPC infrastructure
Environmental information related to cloud services, data centres and high-performance computing infrastructure, where available and applicable.

Business travel
Business travel activity as a relevant source of indirect greenhouse gas emissions.

Waste management
Office waste streams, including general waste, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, batteries, toner and other relevant waste categories where applicable.

Supplier environmental information
Environmental policies, certifications, sustainability reports or other relevant environmental information from key suppliers, where available.

Environmental objectives
Progress against environmental objectives related to data traceability, operational controls, evidence collection, EMS consolidation and ISO 14001 certification readiness.

How We Use This Information

Multiverse Computing uses environmental performance information to:

  • Evaluate environmental performance.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the definition, monitoring and review of environmental objectives.
  • Strengthen operational controls related to relevant environmental aspects.
  • Improve the traceability, reliability, and completeness of environmental evidence.
  • Increase visibility over suppliers, digital infrastructure, and outsourced services.
