Adigital Awards 2025: Celebrating Digital Innovation and Responsibility
The fourth edition of the awards took place at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, a venue that served as a meeting point for the digital and tech ecosystem. The event was hosted by journalist Ángeles Blanco, presenter at Informativos Telecinco, who introduced the winning initiatives across the categories of Citizenship, Scalability, Responsible Technologies, and Innovation.
Adigital 2025 Award Winners
- Citizenship:
The Maldita.es Foundation was awarded for its fight against disinformation, a crucial element for developing critical thinking in society. Maldita, which adheres to international verification standards (IFCN and EFCSN), combines editorial rigor with innovation, using AI-based technological tools to detect and combat fake news.
“For the Maldita.es Foundation, this award recognizes over eight years of collective and committed work towards a more informed, critical, and resilient society in the face of disinformation. It encourages us to continue advocating for transparency, technology in the service of people, media literacy, and civic engagement as fundamental pillars to strengthen public trust and evidence-based policies, while always respecting freedom of expression,” said Clara Jiménez, CEO of Maldita.es.
- Scalability:
Multiverse Computing won in this category for its tool CompactifAI, which helps companies deploy advanced AI models by reducing computational costs, training times, and energy consumption.
Enrique Lizaso, co-founder and CEO of Multiverse Computing, commented: “Receiving the Adigital Award is recognition of our leadership in developing more efficient artificial intelligence through model compression. It motivates us to continue proving that Spain and Europe can and must lead the technological future by offering responsible, competitive, homegrown alternatives”
- Innovation:
Ocean Ecostructures was selected as the top proposal by the jury. The bluetech company aims to turn marine infrastructure into thriving blue oases by installing biomimetic micro-reefs called Life Boosting Units. These regenerate marine biodiversity, capture CO₂, and generate measurable natural capital through robotics and AI.
“This is key recognition of the transformative power of technology in regenerating the planet. It validates years of research, innovation, and commitment to an economic model that not only offsets environmental impact but actively reverses it,” said Ignasi Ferrer, CEO and Co-founder of Ocean Ecostructures.
- Responsible Technologies:
The Social Technologies Foundation (TECSOS) received this award for its Orientatech initiative, which evaluates the accessibility, reliability, and usefulness of technologies, promoting the inclusion of vulnerable groups, such as the elderly or people with disabilities.
María del Mar Pageo Giménez, president of the Spanish Red Cross and TECSOS, stated: “The Orientatech initiative has become a meeting point for all sector stakeholders, enabling thousands of people to improve their quality of life by finding the product that best suits their needs.”
