Barcelona, March 2nd, 2026: Multiverse Computing, Spain’s leading AI model provider, today announced the opening of its new office in Barcelona, a strategic space designed to deepen the company’s presence in the city, advance innovation, and provide closer support to clients and partners.

The Barcelona opening, located at Passatge de Mas de Roda, 6-14, follows the recent launch of Multiverse Computing’s Madrid and Zaragoza offices and marks the next step in Multiverse’s growth strategy to further consolidate its position as Spain’s leading AI company. Multiverse Computing has already hired 90 employees and continues to recruit, with the aim of surpassing 100 people. Recent hires include presales engineers, product managers, platform engineers, ML engineers, and AI researchers.

These teams will play a fundamental role in the expansion and adoption of the company’s compressed AI models, large language models compressed using Multiverse’s quantum based CompactifAI technology, making it possible to reduce costs and energy consumption without compromising accuracy.“Barcelona is a strategic addition to our presence in Spain. This new office helps us keep scaling our teams and bring CompactifAI models to more organizations and sectors, so they can unlock the value of AI in a more efficient and sustainable way,” says Enrique Lizaso, Co founder and CEO of Multiverse Computing. “Together with our Madrid and Zaragoza offices and our headquarters in San Sebastián, this new Barcelona hub strengthens how we work with clients and partners, with more direct support and a stronger connection to one of Europe’s most active innovation ecosystems.”

A growing footprint in Spain and across key markets

The opening in Barcelona builds on Multiverse Computing’s headquarters in San Sebastián, its Madrid office, and its international presence in Paris, London, Munich, Milan, Toronto, and San Francisco. Multiverse was founded in 2019 with two teams, one in San Sebastián, where it established its headquarters, and another in Toronto.

Backed by the 189 million euro Series B funding round announced in June 2025, supported by international, corporate, and public funds, Multiverse is strengthening its presence in major technology hubs, accelerating the development of compressed AI models, and continuing to attract specialized talent. This expansion supports the company’s ambition to become one of Europe’s most relevant unicorns, while reinforcing Spain’s role as a benchmark for innovation and sustainable development in artificial intelligence.About Multiverse ComputingMultiverse Computing is the leader in quantum-inspired AI model compression. The company’s deep expertise in quantum software led to the development of CompactifAI, a revolutionary compressor that reduces computing requirements and unleashes new use cases for AI across industries.
