Prague, June 30, 2026 – České Radiokomunikace (CRA) and Spanish technology company Multiverse Computing have signed a Strategic Partnership Memorandum, confirming their shared commitment to developing the Czech AI Gigafactory (AIGF CZ) and building sovereign AI capabilities for the Czech Republic and the Central and Eastern European region. Multiverse Computing is a leading Spanish technology company developing AI models and solutions.

As part of the memorandum, Multiverse Computing has declared its intention to contract up to 30 MW of power capacity within AIGF CZ over several years, subject to available capacity, and to make an equity investment of up to €50 million in the project. Multiverse would also become one of the strategic partners and the provider of the sovereign AI software layer for AIGF CZ.

"The memorandum with Multiverse Computing is an important step toward positioning the Czech Republic among Europe's leaders in sovereign artificial intelligence. For us, AI Gigafactory CZ is not just a data infrastructure project—it is the foundation for building Czech and European AI models for public administration, research, and key industrial sectors. Partnering with one of Europe's most innovative AI companies strengthens our ambition to establish the Czech Republic as the leading AI hub for Central and Eastern Europe," said Miloš Mastník, CEO of CRA.

"The Czech AI Gigafactory is an opportunity to demonstrate what truly European artificial intelligence can look like—not as a copy of existing models, but as a sovereign, efficient, and purpose-built solution. Multiverse Computing's participation in the AIGF CZ project reflects our belief that sovereign AI also requires sovereign software, which we are ready to provide, and that Central and Eastern Europe is ready to become a leader in both areas," added Enrique Lizaso, Co-founder and CEO of Multiverse Computing.

AIGF CZ is being developed as part of the European AI Gigafactory initiative led by the European Commission and EuroHPC, whose objective is to strengthen Europe's technological sovereignty and the competitiveness of its AI ecosystem.

The ambition of both organizations is to establish the Czech Republic as one of Europe's AI leaders and the primary AI hub for Central and Eastern Europe, including the development of Czech and European language models, AI applications for public administration, and industry-specific AI solutions for key sectors.
